Immigration Basics: Educators and Social Workers

This training is designed for individuals who are working with non-citizen children and young adults in educational or social services settings. In this session, we will cover the basic immigration structures in the United States, immigration relief options with a specific focus on Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), and how to connect students and young adults to immigration legal services.

This training will be conducted by a Hub partner organization. The Hub is supported by funding made available through the State of Minnesota’s Department of Human Services.

This training is part of a three-part presentation series. The next trainings will be:
Immigration Basics: Healthcare Providers – February (date to be determined)
Immigration Basics: Community Advocates – March (date to be determined)
