The CLE will occur from noon to 3:00 PM on the date that you registered. It will take place in the new VLN space on the third floor of City Center (the Minnesota Law Center).
In this CLE, we make heavy use of the Breaking Poverty Barriers to Equal Justice curriculum, based on the work of Dr. Donna Beegle.
To make the best use of our time together, please prepare by taking approximately 75 minutes in advance to:
- Print and read this short article by Kathleen Nalty on Strategies for Confronting Unconscious Bias.
- Watch the below video clips 1, 2, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12 and 13, for which you may claim 1.0 hours of on-demand elimination of bias CLE credit here (out of the 2.0 available). The event code is 249918. (Note: If you wish to watch the entire series, you may see it here – ignore the exercises – and report 2.0 credits.)
- Print and review the Volunteer Handbook and Types of Poverty.
Thank you and we look forward to working with you!
